MILLIONS of Americans in two states have less than a week to claim stimulus checks worth up to $800.

Colorado families who file state taxes by May 31 will receive payments worth $400 for individuals and $800 for joint filers.

The cash back, which comes from a tax refund, will help about 3.1 million residents, Governor Jared Polis announced on April 25.

The discounts are meant to offset inflation, which has wreaked havoc on Americans’ wallets.

Another tax refund worth up to $500 will hit the bank accounts of New Mexico residents in July as a one-time tax credit from state economic assistance programs .

The package will give single or married people who file separately a $250 tax refund if they earn less than $75,000 a year, while married people are entitled to a $500 rebate if they earn less than $150,000. $ per year.
