Black Hills state falls to the Highlands of New Mexico
RAPID CITY, SD – Le Sud Dakota The Mines football team loses 5th rank Colore École des Mines on October 16 by 20 points.
The Hardrockers were back home on Saturday and faced off against another ranked opponent, the No.24 Western Colore.
It was the first game between these two teams since 2019.
The Hardrockers went 21-7 in the first quarter.
But the Mountaineers rallied to beat the Hardrockers, 42-21.
SD Mines quarterback Jayden Johannsen had 204 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Jeremiah Bridges recorded four receptions for 88 yards and one touchdown.
South Dakota Mines drops to 4-4 overall and 2-4 in RMAC.
The Hardrockers will travel to Spearfish on October 30 to take on Black Hills State in the 136th Black Hills Brawl.
Kick-off is set at 1 p.m.
New Mexico Highlands 24, Black Hills State 10
SPEARFISH, SD – Black Hills State lost to the New Mexico Highlands in college football on Saturday, 24-10.
It was a tough day for BHSU quarterback Chance Eben.
He was 16 of 22 for 183 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.
Hasaan Williams hit his third touchdown of the season, scoring from a 42-yard reception.
The Yellow Jackets are now 4-4 this season and 2-4 at RMAC.
Black Hills State will host the South Dakota mines on Saturday, October 30 at 1 p.m. ET.
