SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt (AP) — World leaders are calling for tougher action to tackle global warming on Tuesday, as this year’s international climate talks in Egypt have heard growing calls for fossil fuel companies help pay for the damage they have helped cause the planet.

UN chief Antonio Guterres warned on Monday that humanity was on “the highway to climate hell with its foot on the accelerator”, urging countries to “cooperate or perish”.
