MoDOT has scheduled roadworks in northern Missouri for the week of October 4, 2021

The following is a list of general road maintenance and construction work that the Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled in northern Missouri for the week of October. 4 – 10, 2021.

All road closures and planned road works can be viewed on the Traveler information card.

Bad weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. There may also be moving operations throughout the region such as patching potholes, mowing, plotting, signage work, etc. in addition to the work mentioned below.

Andrew County

I-29 – Project to replace the northbound bridge over Hopkins Creek (mile 58 marker) until early October. Traffic is one-to-one in the southbound lanes. * (Capital Paving & Construction, LLC)

Route B – Culvert repair between County Road 86 and County Road 87, October 4

Atchison County

Roads D, E, U and V – Resurfacing project until October. This includes intermittency CLOSING for road repairs. (Herzog Contracting Corp.)

I-29 – Bridge replacement project over the Nishnabotna River (mile mark 122 – 124) until November. Traffic is one-to-one in the southbound lanes.

US Route 136 – Bridge deck repairs at I-29 overpass (Exit 110, Rock Port), October 4-8. This includes a 24 hour lane closure with a 16 foot width restriction. Temporary traffic lights are in place to guide motorists in the work area.

Buchanan County

I-29 – Concrete replacement for I-229 at Gene Field overpass (mile mark 43 – 49) October 4-8. This includes 24 hour lane closures and a 12 foot width restriction.

US Route 36 – Diamond Grinding Sections (in both directions) and waterproofing (eastbound lanes only) from AC Route (Riverside Road) to east of Route 31 North (DeKalb County ), October 4-5 (Vance Brothers, Inc.)

US Route 59 (St. Joseph Avenue) – Krug Park Drive to K Route Resurfacing Project, September 28 to mid-October (Herzog Contracting Corp.) This project includes:

US Route 59 (St. Joseph Avenue) – FIRM Blackwell Road to Venture Avenue, October 1, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Avenue St. Joseph – Repair of the roadway from Middleton Street to I-229, from October 1 to mid-October. A 12-foot width restriction is in place and some entrances to adjacent streets in the city may close. (Herzog Contracting Corp.)

I-29 – Ramp FIRM for railing repairs from I-29 northbound to I-229 northbound (Exit 43), October 4, 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Route MM – Brush clearing, October 4 – 7

Caldwell County

US Route 36 – Diamond grinding at multiple locations, October 4-6 (Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc.)

Route 13 – Hamilton to Kingston Milling Road Surface, October 4-8

Carroll County

Z course – Closed until further notice from Highway C to County Road 217 due to road slide damage and ongoing geological surveys.

Course J – FIRM for bridge deck repairs at Bridge Creek Bridge, October 4, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

US Route 65 – Repair of the bridge joint expansion at the Moss Creek Drainage Bridge south of Carrollton, October 4-7. This is a 24 hour lane closure with a 12 foot width restriction. Temporary traffic lights are in place to guide motorists in the work area.

US Route 65 – Livingston County Line to J Route Drainage Works, October 4-8

US Route 65 – Pavement repairs from County Road 200 to County Road 220, October 6-7

Chariton County

Route W – Asphalt pavement repair from Route HH to Route U, October 4-6

Route U – Asphalt pavement repair, October 8

Clinton County

4th Street – Milling and resurfacing on 4th Street in Cameron at the intersection with US Route 69, October 4-7. Signalers will guide motorists through the work area.

Route DD – Pothole Repair, October 8

DeKalb County

Route E – Pothole Repair, October 6-8

Grundy County

Route E – Route 6 to Route 139 resurfacing project (Linn County), September 30 to mid-October. A 10 foot width restriction is in place. (Magruder Paving, LLC)

Route 6 – Milling and Resurfacing, Westbound lanes only, US Route 65 at Honey Creek, east of Trenton, October 4-6

Harrison County

I-35 – Pavement repair, southbound only, Iowa state limit to AA / H highway (mile 114-84 mark), October 4-7

Holt County

US Route 59 – Shoulder work between Mound City and Oregon, October 4-8

Linn County

Route E – Route 139 to Route 6 resurfacing project (Grundy County), September 30 to mid-October. A 10 foot width restriction is in place. (Magruder Paving, LLC)

US Route 36 – Diamond grinding of Macon County line at Parson’s Creek, west of Meadville, October 4-6. A 14 foot width restriction is in place. (Emery Sapp & Fils, Inc.)

Routes 129, HH, PP, V and WW – Culvert repairs, October 4-8

Route 139 – Pothole Repair from Route B to Route 6 (Sullivan County), October 4-8

Route 129 – H Route Seal Coat Project near Mystic (Sullivan County) to Route 11 east of HH Route, just south of Winigan, October 6-8. Flaggers and a pilot car will direct motorists through the work area.

Livingston County

US Route 36 – Bridge deck waterproofing, in both directions, at Muddy Creek Drainage Bridge, October 4-5

US Route 36 – Bridge deck waterproofing, eastbound only, at West Yellow Creek Bridge, October 4-5

US Route 65 – Installation of Z Route Traffic Meters at County Road 302, October 5

Nodaway County

Route JJ – Pothole repair from Imperial Road to Route 148, October 4

AC, AF, AH, H, MM and Y Routes – Pothole Repair, October 4-8

US Route 71 – Shoulder work from 160th Street to 170th Street, October 6

US Route 71 – Bridge Maintenance at Nodaway River Bridge, October 7

Sullivan County

Routes 5 – Slip repair project in several locations, from October 4 to November 10

Route 139 – Pothole Repair from Route 6 to Route B (Linn County), October 4-8
